Cela signifie que rendre disponible un outil n&rsquo;implique pas qu&rsquo;il sera utilis&#233;. Les TIC ne changent pas les pratiques p&#233;dagogiques des enseignants qui ne le veulent pas. En outre, ces technologies sont loin d&rsquo;avoir prouv&#233; leur efficacit&#233; p&#233;dagogique.\u00a0\u00bb C&rsquo;est l&rsquo;opinion exprim&#233;e pour L&rsquo;AEF par Larry Cuban, professeur &#224; l&rsquo;universit&#233; de Stanford et un des experts de r&#233;f&#233;rence dans le domaine de la technologie &#233;ducative. Interview&#233; lors des 10&#232;mes rencontres de l&rsquo;Orme (Observatoire des ressources multim&#233;dia en &#233;ducation), organis&#233;es &#224; Marseille les 16 et 17 mars 2005, il souligne que durant les 20 derni&#232;res ann&#233;es, le taux d&rsquo;&#233;quipement des &#233;tablissements scolaires aux &#201;tats-Unis est pass&#233; de 125 &#233;l&#232;ves par ordinateur en 1984 &#224; 4 &#233;l&#232;ves par ordinateur en 2004 avec, dans de nombreux &#201;tats, un ratio de un ordinateur par &#233;l&#232;ve. \u00ab\u00a0L&rsquo;&#233;volution se poursuit dans une logique d&rsquo;&#233;quipement individuel, un but qui devrait &#234;tre atteint dans les prochaines ann&#233;es\u00a0\u00bb.
