Pour certains enthousiastes, ces sciences humaines num\u00e9riques repr\u00e9senteraient l\u2019avenir, voire une planche de salut pour les programmes en lettres, sciences humaines et sciences sociales, qui souffrent d\u2019une remise en question de leur valeur \u00e9manant de la crise financi\u00e8re que conna\u00eet le monde de l\u2019enseignement sup\u00e9rieur (Darcos, 2011). Mais comment concilie-t-on l\u2019enseignement d\u2019outils et de comp\u00e9tences num\u00e9riques au sein de disciplines traditionnellement peu tourn\u00e9es vers la technologie? <i>Perspectives\u00a0SSF<\/i>, le bulletin de veille du Service de soutien \u00e0 la formation de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de Sherbrooke, s\u2019est entretenu avec L\u00e9on Robichaud, directeur du D\u00e9partement d\u2019histoire depuis juin dernier.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/lyonelkaufmann.ch\/histoire\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/1415223713_full.jpeg\" target=\"_blank\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter full\" title=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/lyonelkaufmann.ch\/histoire\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/1415223713_thumb.jpeg\" alt=\"\" align=\"middle\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\">L\u00e9on Robichaud, directeur du D\u00e9partement d\u2019histoire.\u00a0Photo : Universit\u00e9 de Sherbrooke<\/p>\n<footer><cite style=\"font-style:normal;\">Concernant les sciences humaines num\u00e9riques, L\u00e9on Robichaud dispense une vision nuanc\u00e9e de leur apport :<\/cite><\/footer>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\">\u00abLe num\u00e9rique agit comme un amplificateur et augmente les capacit\u00e9s de l\u2019historien.\u00a0Ce n\u2019est pas une solution magique\u00bb<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<footer><cite><span style=\"font-style:normal;\">Cependant si la m\u00e9thodologie historique reste comparable, l\u2019\u00e9chelle de travail et la masse des donn\u00e9es changent et peuvent susciter de nouvelles questions de recherche :<\/span><br \/>\n<\/cite><\/footer>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><em>\u00abUn historien qui souhaite \u00e9crire l\u2019histoire de la Maison-Blanche sous Lyndon Johnson devra lire et analyser les 40\u00a0000\u00a0notes de service [\u2026] \u2026[S]ous Clinton, il devra examiner quelque quatre millions de courriels\u2026\u00bb<\/em>, illustrait r\u00e9cemment le magazine Affaires universitaires (2014).<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<footer>Concernant ses \u00e9tudiants, L\u00e9on Robichaud pose un regard plut\u00f4t s\u00e9v\u00e8re (mais que j\u2019aurai tendance \u00e0 partager sur les motivations de certains \u00e0 choisir l\u2019histoire ou l&rsquo;enseignement pour \u00e9chapper aux technologies) :<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><em>\u00abLes jeunes de cette g\u00e9n\u00e9ration communiquent et consomment beaucoup gr\u00e2ce au num\u00e9rique, mais ils cr\u00e9ent assez peu, dit-il. Parmi ceux qui s\u2019inscrivent en histoire, plusieurs ont choisi une fili\u00e8re o\u00f9 ils pensent avoir moins besoin de c\u00f4toyer les technologies\u2026\u00bb<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/footer>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/lyonelkaufmann.ch\/histoire\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/1415225111_full.png\" target=\"_blank\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter full\" title=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/lyonelkaufmann.ch\/histoire\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/1415225111_thumb.png\" alt=\"\" align=\"middle\" \/><\/a>Le site\u00a0<a title=\"\" href=\"http:\/\/patrimoine.espaceweb.usherbrooke.ca\/fr\/index.php\" target=\"_blank\">Sherbrooke, histoire et patrimoine<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0Dans son cours <i>\u00abInformatique appliqu\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019histoire\u00bb<\/i>, L\u00e9on Robichaud d\u00e9veloppe une p\u00e9dagogie de projet et de m\u00e9diatisation du travail effectu\u00e9 par les \u00e9tudiants :<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify;\"><em>En Informatique appliqu\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019histoire, l\u2019apprentissage du num\u00e9rique s\u2019effectue \u00e0 partir d\u2019un projet concret auquel les \u00e9tudiantes et \u00e9tudiants peuvent adh\u00e9rer\u00a0: par exemple, le site\u00a0Sherbrooke, histoire et patrimoine\u00a0qui permet notamment une visite virtuelle du quartier sud de Sherbrooke en 1921. L\u2019apprentissage de connaissances et de comp\u00e9tences n\u2019est donc pas artificiel. L\u00e9on Robichaud souligne par ailleurs l\u2019importance d\u2019enseigner le sens critique afin d\u2019aider les futurs historiens \u00e0 d\u00e9velopper un r\u00e9flexe de prudence par rapport aux donn\u00e9es num\u00e9riques\u00a0: \u00abLa donn\u00e9e est construite. Quelle sorte d\u2019analyse peut-on faire avec les donn\u00e9es disponibles?
