Elle dirige le groupe de travail interdisciplinaire du <a href=\"http:\/\/ase.tufts.edu\/devtech\/\">d\u00e9veloppement des technologies<\/a>. Sa recherche porte sur la conception et l&rsquo; \u00e9tude des technologies d&rsquo;apprentissage novatrices pour promouvoir le d\u00e9veloppement positif des enfants. Elle a \u00e9galement d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 et dirig\u00e9 le programme de certificat d&rsquo;\u00e9tudes sup\u00e9rieures sur la <a href=\"https:\/\/asegrad.tufts.edu\/academics\/explore-graduate-programs\/early-childhood-technology\">petite enfance de la technologie\u00a0<\/a>\u00a0de l&rsquo;Universit\u00e9 Tufts.<\/p>\n<p>La professeure Umaschi Bers est n\u00e9e en\u00a0Argentine, o\u00f9 elle a fait ses \u00e9tudes de premier cycle en communication sociale \u00e0 l&rsquo; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.uba.ar\/\">Universit\u00e9 de Buenos Aires<\/a> . En 1994 , elle est venue aux \u00c9tats &#8211; Unis o\u00f9 elle a obtenu un dipl\u00f4me de ma\u00eetrise en \u00e9ducation, m\u00e9dias et technologie de l&rsquo;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/\">Universit\u00e9 de Boston<\/a> et une ma\u00eetrise en sciences et un doctorat du <a href=\"http:\/\/www.media.mit.edu\/\">MIT Media Laboratory<\/a>\u00a0o\u00f9 elle a travaill\u00e9 avec Seymour Papert.<\/p>\n<p>Depuis le milieu des ann\u00e9es 90, la professeure Umaschi Bers a con\u00e7u et con\u00e7u divers outils technologiques allant de la robotique aux mondes virtuels.
