L\u2019historiographie est con\u00e7ue comme l\u2019histoire de l\u2019histoire, et participe \u00e0 ce titre \u00e0 l\u2019histoire des sciences sociales.<br \/>L\u2019ouvrage adopte une d\u00e9marche chronologique et th\u00e9matique. Il souligne les \u00e9tapes de la construction de la discipline historique, du Moyen \u00c2ge \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9poque contemporaine. Il d\u00e9crit les principaux domaines de la discipline&#160;: l\u2019histoire sociale, l\u2019histoire \u00e9conomique, l\u2019histoire politique, l\u2019histoire culturelle, l\u2019histoire du temps pr\u00e9sent\u2026 Il analyse les principaux enjeux&#160;: les relations entre les historiens et les m\u00e9dias, l\u2019\u00e9volution du m\u00e9tier d\u2019historien, les relations avec les autres sciences sociales, l\u2019internationalisation croissante de la discipline historique.
