Il convient d\u2019abord d\u2019\u00e9vacuer l\u2019argument de la p\u00e9dagogie qui est r\u00e9el en cours, mais qui n\u2019a pas de sens hors cours. Les devoirs sont des exercices d\u2019application, de r\u00e9investissement, de fixation de ce qui a \u00e9t\u00e9 vu en cours. Ils sont des suites du cours. Ils ne sont en aucun cas des activit\u00e9s de r\u00e9flexion, de recherche, de construction de savoirs par l\u2019\u00e9l\u00e8ve lui-m\u00eame. Si tel \u00e9tait le cas, ils devraient d\u2019ailleurs pr\u00e9c\u00e9der le cours, ce qui serait une r\u00e9volution p\u00e9dagogique, les \u00e9l\u00e8ves apportant en cours le r\u00e9sultat de leurs travaux, recherches, r\u00e9flexions, descriptions de leurs strat\u00e9gies que les professeurs auront \u00e0 traiter. Le r\u00e9investissement et la fixation ne sont pas inutiles, bien entendu, quand les cours n\u2019ont pas suffi pour cela. Ils sont m\u00eame tr\u00e8s importants dans la perspective des examens qui sont essentiellement le contr\u00f4le de la capacit\u00e9 de r\u00e9tention \u00e0 court terme des savoirs scolaires.
