La r\u00e9action du public montre clairement que, dans l\u2019ensemble, les citoyens adh\u00e8rent \u00e0 une conception de la discipline historique qui les pousse naturellement dans le camp de ceux qui souhaitent faire triompher l\u2019enseignement d\u2019un r\u00e9cit national unique. En effet, aux yeux de la majorit\u00e9 des gens, mais aussi d\u2019un grand nombre d\u2019enseignants, un r\u00e9cit historique est un calque du pass\u00e9. Dans cette perspective, l\u2019enseignement de la discipline se r\u00e9sume \u00e0 la transmission d\u2019un r\u00e9cit consensuel consid\u00e9r\u00e9 comme av\u00e9r\u00e9.
